Even if you missed yesterday’s event from by the National Writing Project, it’s never too late to celebrate “Poem in Your Pocket Day”!
#
Confession: As a child, I wrote very dramatic poetry about things like the family dog, frequently managing to work in words like “Herculean.” I’d be amazed, however, if I spelled that one correctly at the time, seeing as I kept the lot in a special notebook with “Pooms by Debbie Hyatt” written boldly across the cover.
Happy poetry, everyone!
